I CHOSE THESE HORROR MOVIE POSTERS BECAUSE I AM A HORROR MOVIE FAN AND GREW UP WITH THE ONES FROM 1970'S/80'S. I ALSO THINK THEY HAD BETTER PLOT THEMES THAN THE ONES MADE NOW A DAYS.

I was drawn to this image because it looks like Hannah Hoch had her own warped perspective of batman, and since i am a big batman fan this really caught my eye.
Not too sure where her inspiration came from but i do like her awkward/interesting views with her art.

For my photo collage choice i chose an artist named Mellisa Grimes. I like her use of colors and picture placement, not just all cluttered together or miss directed, and also her serialism, for example the image shown bellow of a cat as a human with a fish in a fish bowl on the dinner table, showing cats love for fish but with a twist on the way you look at it.

my choice of website is www.jimphillips.com because he is one the best graphic design artists in the skateboard industry, and being a skateboarder myself i thought it would be more suitable for me to choose this website.
A lot of Jim phillips' designs are iconic especially the screaming hand as shown below.

I dont really have a place where i store photos.
I normally just use facebook and instagram to load and share photos.
For many years of my life while I was skateboarding, I am mostly in front of the camera rather than behind taking the photos, basically meaning I rarely take photos, and I hope to change that, especially while taking this class and later on as well in my future with graphic design.

The website http://abduzeedo.com/ is a great website with many tutorials on photoshopping images, clipping images together, and also illustrations.
one of the tutorials that caught my eye is the skate or die poster shown below.

Not only does the website show me step by step on how to make this image, it captures my interest in skateboarding, and also i have that matto SKATE OR DIE tattooed across my stomach.
even before the old school nintendo game, thats been a saying for years for the die hard skateboard fans.

I chose this photo from Pedro Meyer because in my perspective it shows the some highs and lows of society/economy, showing the add for caesars palace in las vegas and their luxury services they provided where people with disposable income can go visit, have fun and gamble etc. Then below the sign you see the struggle of field workers who are picking crops in the blazing sun, probably only making minimum wage or less and not complaining, just working.
I like Pedro Meyer's use of black and white in some of his photos because it seems like it helps focus more on the objective of the photo.

Atiba Jefferson

Atiba Jefferson is one of the most influential photographer in the skateboard industry, and he has been doing it for many years, and still at it to this day.

Atiba is well known for getting the best action shots in the game.

Not only does he shoot action shots for skating, he also shoots sports athletes, musicians, and actors as well.
Here you will see actor Jason Lee, who in fact use to be a pro skater in the late 80s early 90s before his big break in acting.

HUMAN SIZED BAT HOAX

The Philippine army found a human sized bat that was reported terrorizing locals.
The image of the bat had local villagers and surrounding areas believing in this horrific creature, but if u look closely above the bat you will see an abnormal sized knife.
If you were to take the actually size of the knife and compare it to the size of the bat. You will see that the bat is just a normal sized fruit bat.
